I always have this sense of guilt for not getting down
to do a review of the beauty products I love.
Having said that,
today I'm excited to share with y'all about these two masks which I've tried
lately, and they cost below $25! Sometimes, you don't have to break your bank
account to treat yourself at home. ;)
Their masks are generally made with a
gentle yet moisturizing formula
They
are 100% Fragrance-free, Colourant-Free, Paraben-Free and Alcohol Free.
If
you don't already know, all their products are made of amino acids which are
very moisturizing for the skin, making it highly suitable for people with dry skin.
This
mask is highly popular in Japan and has won numerous awards over the years. MINON
Amino Moist Mask is the No.1 Mask in Japan for 2 consecutive years!
MINON
Amino Moist's Moist Essential Masks help to reduce the appearance of fine lines caused
by dryness and contains moisturizing ingredients which help to support barrier
function and helps your
skin to retain moisture more effectively. After putting on the mask, your skin will feel softer, supple and more hydrated.
Here
is a close up of the mask, it is made of a soft fitting sheet with fibres that
adhere closely to the skin without dripping.
A
close up picture, so you can tell from here that it really clings well to my skin!
I've
tried last Thursday night and I really woke up with a more supple and hydrated
skin! And they weren't lying when they said it helps in reducing fine lines caused by dryness. I was very impressed with the first usage. I like the fact that it’s neither dripping wet nor
dry. It has the perfect amount of gel serum to it.
Even
after masking, there is
still so much of gel serum left from the mask! I’m not sure about you
but I always want to get the most out of my masks, so I tend to squeeze the
remaining serum from the mask or the mask sachet as I don’t want to waste it, I
apply some on my neck, hands, elbows and knees. :)
MINON
Amino Essential Moist Mask is unlike most masks in the market, it is soaked in a unique gel
serum. They are indeed
very moisturizing and absorbs very quickly into the skin. This
definitely will come in handy, on days where I feel my skin is dry and less
supple and I would love to give an extra moisture boost.
MINON
Amino Essential Moist Mask - $18.90 for 4 sheets
Moving
on to latest whitening milk mask which was launched in April 2019...
A fairer, brighter and clearer skin is all that I have been trying to achieve! MINON Amino Moist Whitening Milk Mask goes a step further to help reduce spots, freckles and render a more fair and hydrated skin (especially for those with sensitive and dry skin, like mine!) Together with a low-irritant formulation, the mask will effectively retain moisture, delivers a whitening and soft skin effect and help in preventing roughness on your skin.
People
with sensitive skin are more prone to external stimuli such as UV rays, air
pollution and stress. Prolonged exposure to such stimuli results in accelerated
production of melanin pigment that causes dark spots and a slowdown in skin
cell turnover rate, which eventually leads to skin that is less supple and
rough.
Having to tackle this issue, MINON Amino Moist
Whitening Milk Mask makes use of these 2 ingredients:
Whitening ingredient - Ascorbic acid 2-glucoside
(which helps in reducing melanin and protects skin from
spots and freckles)
Anti-inflammatory ingredient - Dipotassium
glycyrrhizinate
(which moisturizes the skin, supports its barrier
function and prevents roughness on the skin)
Mask is made with a soft, form-fitting sheet with fibres that adhere closely to the skin without dripping. And recently I had to deal with an extremely dry, sensitive and dull skin and this mask was vital in getting my skin back in balance. The thick milky serum makes it extremely nourishing to the skin. I also love how it helps in brightening up my skin effectively and leaving it hydrated and glowing. I personally also figured out that the more I mask, the lesser breakouts I will get. (That includes choosing a right mask for your skin condition)
Yep no less, with the
generous amount of milky serum content left in the mask has allow me to apply them onto my neck and both parts that are typically super dry like the
elbows and knees.
Before and after

All in all, I enjoyed using them and
treating myself a little after a long day at work. In fact, masks are
usually very refreshing, and I always feel my whole skin is drenched in
all the good stuff. You could say a mini spa at home. Both MINON Amino Moist masks are great for sensitive
skin. Their sheet masks provide the
skin with a lot of nourishment and moisture. Usually, I have to use several
masks to notice how my skin reacts to them. But, I only need to use MINON's mask once and my skin already feels more supple and soft. It didn't clog my pores nor gave me any
breakouts. My
skin was also moisturized after using the mask; I can totally skip using a moisturizer that night! ^.^
