Beauty review: Australis Cosmetics

Hello, it’s been awhile! So Laycy Singapore sent over a few Australis products for me to try out. It’s been almost a month since I started using their products, and I already have a few products that I would highly recommend for you guys to get! Read on to find out which products~

If you don’t already know, Laycy Singapore is a company that carries several makeup brands, namely, BeautyUK, Australis, Freedom Makeup, Wet n Wild, BH Cosmetics, Makeup revolution. There are also many other brands that they carry. Head over to their site to find out more!

SO here are my top picks! Disclaimer: I'm only going to share my favourite products from Australis in this post.

Australis bright eyes undereye concealer (Banana shade)AC ON TOUR  Powder Contouring and Highlighting PaletteTag team brow pencil and gel, Velourlips matte lip cream (Shade Los Angeles and Hon-O-Loo-Loo)

!!!MUST BUY!!!
I assumed this is one of their popular product from Australis. I have a few girlfriends who own this palette, they also highly recommended me to get this contouring palette. I must say they were not wrong with their recommendation!

As you can see, the palette has six shades - 3 highlighting and 3 contouring shades. I've been using the first 2 contouring shades for my face and nose bridge. I personally prefer my contouring palette to be in powder form as I feel they are much easier to blend out.

Another under-eye concealer which works decently. I really like how it brightens out my undereye and still doing its job in concealing. However, it takes several clicks to dispense the product, which can be quite a waste if you overdo the clicking.

This is a two-in-one brow pencil and gel. It features a slanted, triangular tip that can be used to define brows, as well as a clear gel to tame and set unruly brows. Available in four shades. I've picked the shade (blonde) cause it's closest to my hair colour.

I used this to lightly draw the shape of my brows before using another brow pencil to darken it. It might take a bit of work for the colour show up. The gel also comes with a spoolie which helps to set your brows in place. Overall, I would give this a 4/5! This might not be the best brow pencils I've tried but it works pretty well for something that cost less than $15.

It took me awhile to get on the “matte lip cream” bandwagon. I always find myself reaching out to the same few satin/lip glosses on my makeup shelves because I felt matte lipstick just isn't my style. They're very American style while I'm more into the Korean/Japanese style! Hahaha.

As usual, nothing much can be expected from a matte lip cream. Packaging is simple and functional and it has a doe foot applicator, which glides smoothly on my lips! I always look for lipsticks that have a sweet and candy-like scent and this one? Australis score it. ;)

They have a lot of shades available, you can take a look here

Shade (Hon-O-Loo-Loo)
I've been using this quite a while and I really like how it looks very natural on my lips. I've been diggin' lip colours that have a slightly peachy/nude tone and this colour is just perfect! It applies smoothly without accentuating the dry texture~

Shade (Los Angeles)
It's really rare for me to pick out a shade that I don't even wear often. This colour is so vibrant and pink that it somehow reminds me of barbie! I guess the only time I will put this to good use is when I decided to go for a heavier eye makeup. I believe it will complement well!

I feel Australis definitely lead the charge with their matte lip cream game. It's super creamy and I find their matte lip cream didn't leave my lips looking flaky as compared to my colourpop matte lipsticks. The colour payoff is amazing and it has a long-wear formula plus its very value for money! I highly recommend you guys to get it! I’m already looking into buying the other shades they carry. :D

All in all, if you ask me if Australis product is worth the money? I would say yes. I believe there are a lot more products from their range that works better than some high-end brands out there. Like the contour palette I have, it's like the dupe version of  Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Series Contour Kit and their Matte lipcream, which works similar to NYX soft matte lipcream.

Basically, if you're a student or just someone looking for pocket-friendly cosmetics. Then Australis will surely be your go-to brand! Thank you, Laycy for sending these over! Looking forward to trying out other brands they carry someday!

Thanks for reading! x
